Allocating a development envelope
A finance ministry compares an optimised allocation against a pro-rata split across six sectors, with GDP, employment, poverty and regional distribution for each.

Does EDIS replace our existing systems?
No. It reads from them and makes their information usable together. Custody of the data stays with the institution that holds it.
Where do the numbers come from?
From EDIS model services, run against registered datasets. Every figure carries the model, the version, the data source, the scenario and a run ID.
Does an AI produce the estimates?
No. The AI layer routes, orchestrates, explains and drafts. It never produces a numerical policy estimate, and the separation is enforced in the architecture.
What happens when a model fails?
EDIS reports the failure with its diagnostics. It does not substitute an extrapolation, a previous run or a language-model guess.
Is our data visible to other organisations?
No. Organisation separation is enforced in the data layer, private workspaces carry audit trails, and cross-organisation isolation is tested.
Which countries are supported?
Country is a first-class dimension throughout. Utopia is the demonstration instance; the architecture covers 52 African economies as data and licences allow.
Where are Academy courses taught?
Every course runs four times a year: in person at the EDIS regional hubs in Nairobi and Accra, and live virtual on East Africa and West Africa time.
What does it cost?
Platform licences are agreed per institution and per country. Academy tuition is US$200 a contact day in person and US$80 a contact day live virtual.
