Take a place on a cohort

Choose the course and the cohort — each course runs four times, in person in Nairobi and Accra and live virtual on East Africa and West Africa time. Individual enrolment opens eight weeks before a cohort starts; institutions nominating a team are scheduled directly, so the course can be built around the institution’s own questions.

Each cohort is either in person in Nairobi or Accra, or live virtual on East Africa or West Africa time. Choose the cohort that suits you; the fee follows it.

What happens next

Four steps

01Confirmation We confirm the place, or offer the next cohort if this one is full. Institutional nominations are confirmed against the institution’s own dates.
02Prerequisites We check the stated prerequisites with you. Where one is missing we say which earlier course covers it rather than letting the cohort discover it in the laboratory.
03Laboratory access Model access, the training datasets and a sandboxed workspace are provisioned when enrolment opens, eight weeks before the first contact day.
04Assessment and certificate The final assessment is submitted within two weeks of the last contact day. The certificate is issued at the next quarterly board and is verifiable against the Academy register.
