EDIS for governments

National economic decision infrastructure

Governments do not buy a dashboard. They buy the capacity to answer, defensibly and in their own hands, what a policy costs, what it produces, who it reaches and whether the country can afford it. EDIS is that capacity: FINEX, MTEF, CDCGE, the Budget Output Engine, UCSN, public investment appraisal, the sector models, GIS and MEL, integrated and calibrated to one country.

By institution

What each institution actually runs

Workflows, not feature lists. Each of these is a chain of models that starts with a question a real institution has to answer and ends with a decision it has to defend.

Institution 01

Ministry of Finance

The envelope, the ceilings, the appraisal and what the budget buys. FINEX sets the macro-fiscal frame, MTEF allocates it, PIMAPS ranks the pipeline, the Budget Output Engine says what the allocation produces, and CDCGE closes the economy on the result.

Institution 02

Central Bank

Macroeconomic forecasting, inflation, the external sector, financial conditions and monetary policy scenarios, with CDCGE for the economy-wide closure and a research workspace behind it.

The Central Bank workflow →
Institution 03

Statistics Office

National accounts, household surveys, administrative data, quality control and the calibration inputs every model downstream depends on — published through governed data APIs rather than emailed spreadsheets.

Institution 04

Planning ministries

The national development plan costed against the MTEF, the public investment pipeline appraised on a common basis, sector plans reconciled to the envelope, and MEL reporting what was actually delivered against what was promised.

Institution 05

Sector ministries

One sector's model, data, costing and investment pipeline: energy least-cost planning, health service coverage, education cohorts, agricultural productivity, transport networks or water. Linked to the budget and to CDCGE rather than standing alone.

Whole-of-government

Ministries, agencies, the statistics office and the central bank on one national configuration, with role-based access, a national data warehouse connection and national dashboards.

How a deployment runs

From first question to institutional capability

01Demonstration EDIS run against one of your own policy questions, with the model chain, the provenance and the limitations shown as they would be in production.
02Configuration Country setup, model calibration to your accounts and parameters, your data integrated, your users and roles provisioned.
03Training Your analysts trained on the models they will run, assessed and certified against the Academy register — not shown a demonstration.
04Operation and review The institution runs its own analysis, with priority support and an annual model review against new data and new policy.
Procurement

Built for public financial management

Government buyers cannot usually purchase with a credit card, and should not have to. EDIS institutional contracts support quotes, proforma invoices, formal proposals, purchase orders, framework agreements and development-partner procurement.

Where the country's income classification allows, development access pricing is applied at contract. Where a development partner is financing the deployment, we scope it with the partner and the beneficiary together.

Start with one question your ministry has to answer

A demonstration is run on your question, in your country, with the limitations stated. National models are not offered on an unrestricted free trial; a sandbox demonstration on sample data is.
